Owner: Johnson & Johnson
Manager: Advance Realty
Group
Scope of project:
• Ongoing maintenance to a busy, one square block shopping/commercial complex in
downtown New Brunswick.
• Numerous storefront retrofits.
• Refurbish Johnson & Johnson offices for annual meetings, including painting and
repairs to doors and ceilings.
Challenges/Results: Precision Building & Construction worked 24/7 to retrofit numerous storefronts so merchants were able to keep their businesses running during the day. Never missed a deadline.
Precision was called several times in the middle of the night for emergency repairs. Result: The company mobilized workers and equipment on a moment’s notice, completing construction within hours.
One time, a large concrete block fell in front of the building during the early morning hours, closing off the city sidewalk. Result: Precision Building & Construction stabilized the façade by the end of the business day.
Precision Building & Construction was also asked to replace a leaking 24 ft. x 24ft. skylight in the lobby over a reception area and main entrance to Kilmer Square office complex. The company worked nights and weekends to minimize disruption to nearby offices. Result: a modern skylight that adds an attractive architectural element to the structure.
For Johnson & Johnson annual meeting spruce-ups, Precision Building & Construction went in on Thursday nights and worked double shifts so the offices were completely ready by Monday mornings.
