STEPHEN SANGEMINO, Project Manager
Stephen’s expertise in commercial construction and historic preservation has fostered many lasting relationships which have led Precision Building & Construction to be a significant presence in the 21st century.Stephen began his lifelong dream of working in the building trades when he was 18, almost 40 years ago. A native of Newark, NJ, he spent almost a decade working in new home construction for Martone Construction before being introduced to historic preservation in the late 1970s.
National Recognition
His first project in that arena was as lead carpenter for rebuilding the interior of Newark’s historic North Ward Center, a striking mansion on the National Register of Historic Places which had been extensively damaged by fire. Stephen’s rehabilitation work won numerous awards, including a citation at the White House.
Stephen also received national recognition when the North Ward Center youth baseball team he coach competed in the RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) World Series for four consecutive years.
He continued his historic preservation work by rehabilitating churches for the Archdiocese of Newark for four years, when he also renovated schools in Bergen County, New Jersey.
At Precision Building & Construction
His first job at Precision was supervising repairs to the Allamuchy Freight Station, a historic structure that required expert handling because of its extreme deterioration. Since then, Stephen has successfully managed a variety of construction projects for Precision Building & Construction.
